Back in high school, I had decided that I didn't really like my name...mostly because it's a very common name. I'm not exactly sure how or why but I decided that I wished my name was "Moniqua" and shortly after, my friends started calling me "Mo". I became very fond of the nickname and all the iterations of it, but especially fond of the combination of this nickname with my last name - Mo Shin - because it sounded like "motion".

I want that to be a driving force behind how I live my life - always moving, striving to be the best version of myself and to continually challenge myself to see and try new things.

 

My mom is always asking me when will I grow up because I still watch animated movies and TV shows but I truly want to keep the essence of what it means to be a kid at heart, experiencing the world with fresh eyes and wonder. :)
